My passion for music began at a very tender age as my mind constantly gravitated towards music. My mother noticed this incessant passion and enrolled me under the tutelage of my first ever guru Sri Jagannatha Suri garu. I fondly cherish those days and the lessons learnt under him.
Due to my father’s transferable job, we moved several places during my school days and learnt under various gurus. I always experienced a great sense of ecstasy immersing myself in Carnatic music and decided to pursue this passion. Accordingly, I enrolled into certificate course in Music from Government Music College, Vijayawada during my High school days. Subsequently, after doing my BA in Music from Telugu University, Hyderabad, went on to pursue MA in Music from Andhra University, Vizag.
I come from an orthodox family with a devotional mind set. This gelled well with my passion for music and elevated the spirit. I truly enjoy this unfathomable blend of music and spirituality and aligned my passion towards to spiritual rendering. I associated with multiple social, spiritual organizations and gave innumerable concerts.
As the famous quote goes “IN VAIN HAVE YOU ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE IF YOU HAVE NOT IMPARTED IT TO OTHERS” – there is no better way to enrich the value of your knowledge than imparting to others. I did my Technical Teacher’s training and began formal teaching in 1999. I am presently running ‘Vijaya Bharathi Sangeetha Vidyalaya’ imparting classroom training to aspiring students.
I believe in “When you stop learning you stop growing”. I continue to be mentored by Various gurus including Pamasri, Vidwan, Sri Rudrapatnam N Thyagarajan (Bangalore, since 2006), Mrs Neetha Chandrasekhar (Hyderabad).
